Welcome to the Joshua’s Heart Foundation.
We are a small group of people with a big dream – to end world hunger. Did you know that there are over 49 million people in the U.S. alone struggling to put food on the table for their families?
Although food insecurity is harmful to any individual, it can be particularly devastating for children. Good nutrition at an early age is important for future physical and mental health. With the help of people just like you, we can fight hunger and end the cycle of poverty.
Our mission is to empower those in need, to improve their quality of life. We can do this by providing items of basic necessity, including food and water, which every human needs in order to survive. We also engage and educate communities at home and abroad about how to take steps towards fighting hunger and poverty on a global scale. Along the way, we hope to inspire individuals to join us on our mission, and help each other.
How we got started
Five-year-olds can be creative and enthusiastic problem solvers with imaginative ideas for how to make things happen. At that point in their lives, development is unique and complex, and Joshua Williams was no different. He was greatly influenced by factors in his community and the experiences he had. That was eight years ago.
Today, the Joshua’s Heart Foundation president has over 1,200 volunteers, but we still need more help. By getting involved and lending your helping hands you can make the difference in the life of those that are less fortunate.
