Our First Refridgerated Van

We also are delighted to announce our First Refrigerated Van.

Through the fundraising efforts of several local high school students, we purchased our first refrigerated van. The fundraising campaign was spearheaded by JHF’s Junior Advisory Board members, Charlotte and Julia Krass. With the assistance of another member of the Junior Advisory Board, Sydney Bianco, these three high schoolers raised more than $25,000 in donations from local families, organizations, and businesses, including Milam’s Market. As part of the campaign, they designed and sold bracelets bearing JHF’s logo and tagline ‘Stomp Out Hunger’ which JHF continues to sell to fund future needs. Their tenacity and commitment to the cause were key to reaching their financial goal, which was used for the van purchase.

We are also grateful to Local 10 News for Giving Day where we collected 800 pounds of food and received $1200, as well as Give Miami Day for helping us to raise $6,000.

We have the ability to touch lives in ways we couldn’t even imagine. Check out Konnor’s story.
