Thanks to the exemplary fundraising efforts spearheaded by Junior Advisory Board Members, Charlotte and Julia Krass, who enlisted the help of fellow JAB member, Sydney Bianco, Joshua’s Heart Foundation’s commitment to service was just kicked up a notch with a new opportunity to extend its service offerings.
NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Dec. 16, 2022 – PRLog — The little charity can now focus on bigger goals to expand their service with the arrival of their brand-new refrigerated delivery van. For 17 years, Joshua’s Heart Foundation (JHF) has been distributing groceries to food-insecure communities throughout South Florida, the Florida Keys, Connecticut, Jamaica, Latin America, Asia, and Africa with a passion for ending world hunger. However. JHF’s ability to provide the freshest and highest quality produce and groceries was hampered by limited access to refrigerated delivery options.
JHF is pleased to announce that through the fundraising efforts of several local high school students, it purchased its first refrigerated van. The fundraising campaign was spearheaded by JHF’s Junior Advisory Board members, Charlotte and Julia Krass. With the assistance of another member of the Junior Advisory Board, Sydney Bianco, these three high schoolers raised more than $25,000 in donations from local families, organizations, and businesses, including Milam’s Market. As part of the campaign, they designed and sold bracelets bearing JHF’s logo and tagline ‘Stomp Out Hunger’ which JHF continues to sell to fund future needs. Their tenacity and commitment to the cause were key to reaching their financial goal, which was used for the van purchase.
