Maria is a 17 year old junior at Ransom Everglades School. After meeting Josh in sixth grade, she began to look up to him and his exemplary abilities to put others before himself. She feels fortunate to be associated with Joshua’s Heart Foundation and has fulfilled her role by assuming the Junior Advisory Board (JAB) position of Asst. Secretary for two years. Her hard-working, driven nature has helped contribute to the mission of Joshua’s Heart and has also led her to create “Suppli-Cycle,” a project that aims at providing gently used school supplies to students in developing nations, along with three other JAB members (Ceci S., Carlota S., and Ana D.).
Moreover, she recently received the Gold Presidential Service Award for completing over 250 hours of community service.
Like Josh, Maria believes that together we can accomplish so much more!
